Application module: Elementary function

1 Scope

This part of ISO 10303 specifies the application module Elementary function. The following are within the scope of this part of ISO 10303:

• the function that checks whether or not a numeric expression should evaluate to an integer value;
• the computation of elementary mathematical functions used in an expression.

The following are outside the scope of this part of ISO 10303:

• the assignment of values to variables within some context;
• the definition of the expressions type;
• the triggering mechanism that computes the value of an expression in a given context;
• the specification for an imaginary number;
• the specification for a natural number constant;
• funtions operating on text strings.
