When you are debugging an application or investigating a troublesome STEP file, you may want more details about the underlying STEP file instances that represent a product or shape.

The viewer uses tooltips on entries in the product tree to list the product, formation, and definition instances for a part, as well as any assembly component relationship instance that refers to an enclosing assembly. In addition to listing the instance ID and type, the tooltip gives the values of any id, description, or name fields in the instances.

The tooltip for shapes gives the instance ID and type of the shape representation instance, as well as any representation relationship that connects it to other shapes. If the shape is also related to the assembly structure, the tooltip will list the ID of the corresponding assembly component relationship.
